Assesses, develops and implements occupational therapy programmes within an identified carestream, i.e. Male Mental Illness, Male Personality Disorder or the Womens Service. Demonstrate an understanding of the need to integrate security requirements within all Therapy Services activities and interventions. To be responsible for monitoring the quality of the service provided to ensure that it meets the requirements of the College of Occupational Therapy as well as locally agreed standards.
Develop and implement a range of occupational therapy interventions, both individual and group. Ability to assess, analyse and interpret complex facts or situations in relation to patient conditions and presentation and compare a range of options for interventions. To delegate appropriate tasks to junior Therapy Services staff. Prioritise workload and manage own time effectively in order to ensure quality service provision.
Specialist skills in applying evidence to practice. Assess and feedback patients response to occupational therapy interventions. Skilled in clinical risk assessment and the development of risk management plans for patients. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is 26.40 (standard) or 54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of 16 per year applies.
