Job Description

Personal Banking department oversees debit and credit card operations, and provides back office support to the Bank's branches. As a Senior Officer Mortgage Underwriting - Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible for preparing Retail Banking loan documentation and delivering Retail Banking credit products and services to customers. You will also be assisting with the processing of credit products. This is a full time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Team Head in overseeing the mortgage underwriting function Handle the Approval in Principle (AIP) processing and approvals within assigned discretionary authority Coordinate with and provide instructions to solicitors to ensure the proper execution of securities and all required documentation or undertakings Undertake initial checks over credit reports Process credit facility documentations Conduct initial review of documentation prepared by team members Act as main point of contact for Banking department and Branches in retail credit related matters Assist in development and management of credit products Assist for maintaining up-to-date mortgage content on the Bank's website and ensure all the published relevant information is correct Assist with software management used for the processing of retail mortgage applications Support in drafting reports and providing recommendations to Branch Management and Head Office regarding credit facility products Undertake additional tasks when required Provide guidance/training to new team members

Requirements

Degree educated in Business, Marketing, Finance or Accounting Relevant professional qualification such as CeMAP is required Relevant experience within Financial Services industry in the similar department/business stream Relevant experience in the brokerage industry will also be considered as an advantage Team player Good understanding of current Compliance Regulatory requirements Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills Attention to details Good time management skills Good problem solving skills
