The Role



Due to regional growth within Fortem Solutions we are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to join our Stonewater Housing contract based in the head office in Chippenham Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage our Repairs & Maintenance and Voids teams, helping them to deliver work to the required quality of standards, specification, budget and within the agreed timescale

The Client



Our contract with Stonewater is long term with the option to extend the partnership again. On our contract we cover over 7,500 houses in 4 different areas of the South-West, from Taunton and Yeovil, over to Bristol and Swindon and down to Salisbury and Bournemouth. We currently deliver Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and an Electrical Service program. Duties & Responsibilities



o Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management. o Develop and monitor project strategies to achieve the company's sustainability objectives. o Establish quality standards on site and ensure quality of delivery in accordance with specifications, project requirements, timescale and to client & customer satisfaction. o Identify and manage commercial risk. o Liaise with the commercial team to provide estimates, information for tenders, pricing analysis, updated projections, and ongoing commercial project data. o Preparation, monitoring, and interrogation of project programmes and instigate corrective actions as required to maintain programme deadlines. o Recruit, train, develop, motivate and retain high quality Fortem staff to deliver high levels of service delivery. o Monitor performance and competency of team to manage and recognize achievements. o Understand contract requirements, control cost and deliver projects in line with budget and project timescales provide support where required. o Provide technical support and advice to the client and project team. o Achieve the highest standards of customer care service and service delivery. o Ensure a robust strategy is in place for dealing with complaints and managing defects. o Adopt the principles of the considerate constructor's scheme and manage community relations o Produce and ensure accurate monthly financial and departmental reporting. o Ensure the business is briefed on latest Government funding streams and opportunities.

What You Will Need



Essential: o Extensive experience managing teams within the social housing sector o Experience of project managing multiple projects. o Ability to read, interpret and understand programmes, drawings, schedules and specifications. o Proven ability to work to and develop operating procedures. o Excellent Leadership, management and team development skills with particular experience of leading a team of project managers and site teams o Strong understanding of construction operations and related sectors. o Full understanding of Health & Safety legislation and statutory requirements o Financial and P&L analysis skills. Desirable: o Understanding of Contract Arrangements, Partnering, NEC option A & option C, o Relevant degree ACIOB/MCIOB.
