Senior Oracle Developer





An exciting opportunity has arisen for a team player to join the Bank during a period of significant growth. We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Developer to work within the dedicated IT Development team in Northwich.

About the role






Carrying out development, testing and implementation of software enhancements in an Oracle database, using Oracle APEX and SAP Business Object reporting. Coordinate IT business information/activities including interpretation of technical documentation. Recommending solutions for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements. Producing good quality documentation. Write and understand database queries using SQL. Plan and manage your project work-streams. Supporting members of staff with their general IT support issues via Service Desk requests.



About you





We are looking for someone with:




Full-stack software development experience. Strong PL/SQL skills. Oracle Database knowledge. Oracle Application Express (APEX) knowledge. Experience of system, application design and implementation, troubleshooting and resolving live issues, performance tuning and optimisation. Extensive knowledge of the full development life cycle Guide and coach junior developers as needed Organised and able to prioritise and plan own work to deliver to agreed standards Ability to create test plans from user stories/journeys. Ability to use the test plans to perform accurate system testing and write concise but good quality documentation of the outcome. Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing to a range of audiences




In addition to the essential requirements, the following skills and technical knowledge are desirable:



Exposure to databases in a Linux/UNIX environment. Microsoft SQL Server JavaScript knowledge Unit Testing experience SAP Business Objects or Crystal Reports knowledge
