We are seeking a skilled and compassionate

Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist

to join our Children's Social Care team. This is a key role supporting children and young people with complex physical, sensory, and developmental needs to thrive at home, in school, and in the community.

About the Role




As a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will:

Lead on complex assessments and interventions for children with a wide range of needs Provide expert advice on housing adaptations, specialist equipment, and sensory strategies Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and social workers to deliver coordinated, child-centred care Supervise and support junior OTs, students, and therapy assistants Contribute to service development, policy implementation, and quality assurance Support transitions into adulthood and ensure continuity of care

What We're Looking For



HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with significant paediatric experience Strong clinical reasoning and leadership skills Experience working in children's social care, education, or community settings Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills Experience supervising staff or students A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Our working arrangements




All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
