The role
The Senior Paid Media Executive position will be the ideal role for somebody already working in performance marketing role with at least 2-3 years' experience and a proven track record delivering for clients.
You should have an inherent curiosity, willingness to learn and experiment. We are looking for a candidate with a good level of experience working one or even both of paid search (Google, Microsoft) and social (Meta, TikTok) - with training available to support in developing your knowledge of platforms you are less familiar with.
In this role, you will
Understand the objectives and KPIs of our clients' campaigns and use performance tracking and reporting to analyse performance
Proactively identify areas of improvement or optimisation opportunities to meet client goals
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the structure, functionality, and integration of all platforms and tools used across Google/Bing ads, Meta and TikTok channels to maximise performance
Conduct detailed audience analysis within Google and Meta, ensuring recommendations align with campaign briefs. Understand the ad formats and placements available across platforms and how to use them effectively
Write ad copy based on audience segments and campaign objectives, ensuring ad extensions align with the brief and contribute to overall performance
Confidently plan and implement campaigns, including creating complex tactical campaigns based on seasonal or other factors with minimal guidance
Manage campaign budgets effectively, ensuring allocations align with objectives. Make adjustments based on pacing and client priorities
Independently manage your time and tasks, recording activities in the appropriate platforms and flagging any capacity issues or delays to your manager
Analyse data to identify actionable insights, understanding how metrics interact and recognising external factors that may impact performance. Ensure reports are generated in the correct format and include relevant metrics
Take responsibility for delivery on some smaller accounts, communicating professionally with clients via email and contributing to calls or meetings. Share plans with account managers to help develop key accounts
Support with new business pitches by preparing reports and data in the required format and presenting them as needed
Share knowledge with team members, keeping them up to date with changes and developments across all platforms
Attend relevant training sessions to develop a wider understanding of the channels that operate within Herd, sharing learnings where appropriate
Identify new opportunities within paid search channels, keeping up to date with the latest trends and developments to maintain best practices across campaigns
Troubleshoot platform and campaign issues, liaising with platform representatives to ensure smooth resolutions and improved levels of service
Share innovative strategies and ideas with the team to improve campaigns and strengthen performance
Demonstrate advanced understanding of analytics platforms, including GA4, to evaluate campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations
Qualifications
Relevant qualification / degree

industry experience. Proven track record delivering high performing paid media strategies and campaigns for clients.

A minimum of

of paid media related experience
Experience with the Google Ads platform
Excellent organisational skills - the ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns for our clients
Capability to write effective ad copy and messaging aligned to campaign goals
Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint
A good comprehension of commercial value and evaluating the success or failure of a project in business terms
A flexible individual, comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Comfortable speaking with and presenting to both internal and client stakeholders
Nice to haves
Experience of ad management in social media platforms such as META and TikTok
Experience building reports in Google Data Studio
Ad creative design experience e.g., Figma
Experience working on B2C / eCommerce client accounts
