Key Duties
Ensure the timely and effective management of patient appointments, registrations, and enquiries efficiently using System-One.
Ensure coherence and compliance with GDPR in the practice team.
Coordinate and support all operational functions in the practice acting as the interface between partners / management and the patient navigator team.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of prescriptions, referrals, and administrative tasks
Support and enable the team to provide exceptional, compassionate service as the first point of contact.

The Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior Patient Navigator with System-One expertise to be the welcoming face of our practice. You'll lead our front desk operations, ensuring smooth patient interactions and efficient administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Services: Manage appointments, registrations, and enquiries via phone, in-person, and online using System-One.
Administration: Process prescriptions, referrals, and patient records accurately, maintaining strict GDPR compliance.
Team Coordination: Work closely with the GPs, nurses, and admin staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
Problem-Solving: Handle patient queries with empathy and resolve issues promptly.
Leadership: Support and guide reception and administrative team.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a GP receptionist, with expertise in System-One (non-negotiable).
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication friendly, professional, and calm under pressure.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of NHS processes and GP practice workflows (desirable).
Person Specification
Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a GP practice reception/administrative role (3+ years preferred).
Proven expertise using System-One (demonstrable experience required).
Exceptional communication skills polite, clear, and empathetic with patients and colleagues.
Strong IT skills, including System-One, Microsoft Office, and GP practice software.
Organisational skills ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Accuracy & attention to detail, especially when managing patient records and data.
Problem-solving able to handle patient queries calmly and professionally.
Reliable, punctual, and adaptable.
Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
Respect for confidentiality and GDPR compliance.

1) Good IT skills.

Qualifications
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math's at grade C/4 or above.
