About the role:




Your role as Senior Payroll Executive role is to deliver a managed payroll service to clients in a professional, friendly, efficient manner leading to continued business retention and growth. You will support and on occasion deputise for the Team Manager, liaising and communicating appropriately and effectively with team members and internal and external stakeholders.

Which tasks can you expect?



Effectively plan and manage own workload, managing, servicing and delivering customer payrolls/reports accurately and on time. Ensure all tasks associated with each payroll in the team are performed within agreed SLA. Communicate effectively handling routine, non-routine and complex customer queries regarding payroll and HR related issues, including liaising with both internal and external contacts. Write ad hoc reports / exports to agreed deadlines and costing appropriately. Manage all aspects of Tax Year end processing for customers. Provision and delivery of own performance statistics to the team manager each month to meet team manager reporting requirements. Compliance with statutory regulations and provide guidance to customer and colleagues. Demonstrate good knowledge of legislation and products. Maintain Standard Operating Processes and update with changes. Actively identify improvements that drive process efficiencies and profitability. Contribute effectively to team meetings including chairing and note taking. Support the team/Team Manager and deputise for the Team Manager when required Support the Team Manager with 121s and managing team performance - identifying development and share knowledge with colleagues to contribute to the effectiveness of the team as well as support with interviews Use initiative to explore ways to improve processes, performance and aspects of their role, driving PSS and PC to identify best practices and improvements. Actively share and promote best practice methodologies Support the Payroll management team in improving colleague engagement across the department. Take responsibility for own personal development plan in line with Company objectives and values. Ensure Payroll delivery is completed to agreed SLA with adherence to quality standards and practices. Lead / participate where appropriate in customer service reviews. Support capacity/workload planning for the team Drive and lead huddle ensuring risks and issues are highlighted and followed through to closure. Drive PSS and PC as and when required to identify best practices and improvement, track and report progress of the documentation creation. Effectively plan capacity/workload for the team, including planning for ad hoc processes. Support Team Manager with key KPIs -Utilization, Productivity, Accuracy and Escalations.


What do you have to offer?



Minimum of 5 years payroll experience Expert in UK Legislation - above average knowledge on UK Legislation Understanding and processing end to end payroll Manage complex queries and escalations with advanced query resolution Excellent communication skills Time management skills Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
