Strategic People Business Partner

to play a key leadership role in a major business transformation across our Product and Engineering Functions.


In this high-impact role, you'll be the go-to People Partner for our Technology division guiding leaders through strategic people decisions and driving transformational programmes that shape the future of our workforce. From talent strategy and risk mitigation to embedding a high-performance culture, this is your chance to make your mark.

Please note this is a hybrid role, based within our Birmingham Head Office 3 days per week and may require travel to other offices nationally and internationally as needed.
What You Will Do:

As a Strategic People Business Partner, you'll play a central role in driving our talent and transformation agenda across the Technology function. Your key responsibilities will include:

Strategic Workforce Planning:

Identify current and future skills needs, guide recruitment and upskilling strategies, and use workforce insights to shape long-term plans.

Talent & Performance Leadership:

Lead succession planning, talent reviews, and development strategies. Champion performance management, coaching, and leadership transitions to build a high-performing, future-ready team.

Skills Transformation:

Act as a subject matter expert on our journey to a skills-based organisation--revamping job architecture, conducting skills gap analyses, and embedding a future-focused framework.

Employee Engagement & Development:

Foster a culture of continuous learning and engagement, using data-driven insights to build a positive, high-impact employee experience.

Change & Transformation:

Partner with leaders to drive people aspects of change initiatives, ensuring cultural alignment, smooth transitions, and sustainable ways of working.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

Use people analytics and talent metrics to influence strategy, monitor progress, and continuously improve performance across the function.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with other People Partners, Finance, and Centres of Excellence to deliver an integrated people strategy aligned with broader business goals.

What You Will Have:

Proven Experience:

A strong track record as a People Business Partner within a technology function, ideally in a complex or global environment.

Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of how people strategies drive business outcomes and customer success.

Skilled in organisational change and transformation, including M&A, restructures, and cultural change.

Clear Communicator:

Able to simplify the complex, engage stakeholders across levels and geographies, and align teams around a shared vision.

Global Perspective:

Comfortable working across regions and cultures, with an understanding of local sensitivities and time zone coordination.

Execution Excellence:

Detail-oriented, structured, and solutions-focused with the ability to move from strategy to execution seamlessly.
