It's an exciting time to join our Stores team as we continue to invest in both our people and our store design. Partnering with our Head of Stores, this role is a critical Senior People Partner within the Currys People Team.


Working collaboratively with the leadership and the wider People Team, you'll be accountable for delivering the Currys people strategy in this critical part of our business, working cross functionally with our Centres of Expertise to identify, develop and deliver.



We are looking for people who share the Currys values ('we put our customers first', 'we win together' and 'we own it') and who are comfortable operating within a fluid, collaborative and modern People organisation, comprised of CoEs, Operations and People Partners.

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

Developing and delivering strategic People Plans which support the delivery of the functional plans for the business, driving capability, performance, talent, leadership development and engagement in alignment with business needs in partnership with the People Team Centres of Excellence. Developing the Store leadership team and continued promotion of ownership of their business area's people and talent strategies. Driving and maintaining world class engagement levels across Stores using data to identify trends and opportunity areas, ensuring leadership teams create and own functional action plans. Promoting values-based leadership, with the objective of increasing diversity and inclusion and embedding I&D principles within our organisation's culture. Incorporating best practice change management techniques into all stages of business change to include leading defined activities, and for major initiatives. Coaching Senior Leaders and their leadership teams, helping them to balance short term operational priorities with longer term strategic growth, and acting as their most trusted adviser


You will need:

Commercial focus, understanding the drivers of business performance and what is important to business leaders. Ability to think strategically, develop people strategy and build and deliver operational people plans to cover all areas of HR. Experience of managing a large multisite client area Knowledge of methods and models of all people related areas (Including Reward, Talent & Leadership Development, Employee Relations, and Organisation Design & Development). Experience in a business partnering role, partnering a senior leadership team and (a) senior leader(s). Matrix Organisation experience, with a strong track record of effectively leading people and organisational change projects of scale Experience delivering hands-on innovative people projects within a fast paced and evolving organisational setting. Knowledge of change leadership and experience of leading successful change programmes Excellent insight and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make people and commercially based decisions.
