In this exciting role, you'll form impactful partnerships to enable players to perform at their best and you'll provide them with guidance on post-football career planning as well as supporting their eventual transition out of football.

Your day-to-day
Build and maintain impactful relationships with players
- you'll take pride in working with players on career/life goal setting and will provide guidance to help them manage commercial obligations, personal activities and wider social and emotional wellbeing needs
Develop a dedicated support service
- you will lead the implementation of structured performance lifestyle development plans that support players in achieving their career, education, wellbeing, financial, transition, and commercial goals
Act as a trusted mentor and advisor
- you'll prioritise player wellbeing and extend a helping hand with important aspects such as development, relocation and career pathways
Co-create a performance wellbeing strategy
- you will collaborate with the Head of Player Development to design and implement a comprehensive Player Care Strategy aligned with the club's long-term vision and objectives
Support players through transitional periods
- you will eagerly ensure that players that join us experience a best-in-class induction and that outgoing players leave us feeling positive about their time with us and their future plans
Partner with external providers -
you'll build and maintain a trusted network of external providers and support systems to meet the holistic and individual needs of players
Uphold safeguarding and mental health requirements
- you'll confidently work to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and you'll intuitively support players in their mental wellbeing in line with our mental health strategy
What we are looking for
Background in performance lifestyle coaching
- you come equipped with either a relevant academic background or industry experience in a Performance Lifestyle, Player Care, Player Development Manager role within an elite sports environment
Credible expertise
- you hold a Level 3 Certificate in Athlete Personal Development (APDL) and Life or Executive Coaching and Mentoring qualification
Best-in-class communicator
- you possess excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful, strong relationships with players, coaches and colleagues across our club
Track record in a similar role
- you have experience creating, developing and delivering performance lifestyle support
Exceptional organisational skills
- you've got effective time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritise ever changing workloads
Flexible and adaptable approach
- you're able to work flexibly and across weekends as and when required
Collaborative mindset
- you excel as part of a multidisciplinary team and strive to put the team's needs first
