Making trains run on time is critical to the success of all aspects of a Train Operator. As Senior Performance Delivery Manager, you will lead a team that will have ultimate responsible for understanding why any TPE trains are delayed, and to formulate and undertake timely actions to prevent future delays.



Essential to the role is having the knowledge of all aspects of the railway; what something is, why is wrong with it, how to fix it and what good looks like. You will therefore have an advanced understanding of railway operations; timetabling, crewing, fleet, Network Rail operations and infrastructure, along with knowledge of the TPE network.



Making the railway run punctually is not a simple task, so you will be required to be energic and meticulous as you tenaciously ensure actions are followed through to their successful completion. This will involve working closely with a wide range of other parties, so organisation and influencing skills are a key requirement. This will include overseeing the formulation of route performance strategy plans.



You should also be familiar with industry performance systems such as Trust and Bugle, and an analytical mindset to interpret this data. A knowledge of the delay attribution process would also be beneficial.



As the leader of an important team, line management experience is a pre-requisite.
