Senior Pharmacy Technician (procurement & Distribution)

Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician who would like to join our Procurement and Distribution team in the Pharmacy Department at York or Scarborough Hospitals.



Team leading experience and a good understanding of stock management is vital for this post, however, training can be provided for the right candidate.

Supervising pharmacy assistants, stores supervisor and workflow within pharmacy stores

Supporting with training within pharmacy stores and procurement teams

Participating in reviewing SOPs

Undertaking ward stock reviews and amending ward stock top-ups.

Stock control, ordering and supply of medicines to wards.

Daily ordering of pharmaceuticals for York and Scarborough Hospitals

Inputting contracts and dealing with supply issues

Working with Senior members of the Procurement and Distribution teams to enable improvement and development in line with the Trusts priorities.
