We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our team on a significant civil engineering scheme - the development of a new railway depot near the Bradford/Leeds area. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and managing project programmes to ensure successful delivery in line with contract requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities


Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.


Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure accurate planning and reporting.


Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.


Provide accurate forecasts and updates to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.


Prepare planning reports, schedules, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.


Ensure that project programmes are fully aligned with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.


Requirements


Proven experience as a Planner on major civil engineering projects (essential).


Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and a thorough understanding of planning methodologies.


Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.


Rail sector experience (highly desirable, but not essential).


Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


Degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred).
