Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic QualifiedPlay Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Play Worker, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn. Your role will involve facilitating activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development while ensuring the well-being of all children in your care. This post is split shifts you will work 6.45 - 8.45 in a morning and 2.30 - 6.00pm

Duties

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community. Manage behaviour in a positive manner, promoting respect and cooperation among children. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas and equipment. Collaborate with other staff members to develop programmes that meet the needs of all children. Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through play-based activities.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Strong communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and staff members. Experience in nursery settings or similar environments is an advantage.
