Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to support their development through play. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing atmosphere that encourages creativity, social interaction, and personal growth.

Duties

Supervise and engage children in various play activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Assist in the management of daily routines and transitions within the setting. Support children with special needs or additional requirements as necessary.

Requirements

Level 3 recognised childcare qualification. Proven experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and parents. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation if required to support school drop offs and pick ups. A genuine passion for childcare, with the ability to create a fun and stimulating environment for children to thrive. Pay: 12.44 per hour
