Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents. As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for facilitating play activities, ensuring the wellbeing of the children in your care, and promoting their social and emotional development.

Duties

Manage daily activities and play sessions for children, ensuring a stimulating and safe environment. Supervise children during playtime, guiding them in games and activities that promote teamwork and creativity. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster positive relationships and address any concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and age-appropriate. Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute special events or themed days that engage children's interests.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is desirable but not essential as full training given. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse audiences. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development through play. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
