FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior PMO to work for our global financial services client. This is initially a 6-month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.
Our client is seeking a Senior PMO to ensure adherence to project governance standards, manage stakeholders across multiple levels of seniority, and provide high-quality oversight through robust planning, RAID management, reporting, and governance support.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring defined project governance standards are adhered to
Management of project and program stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
Owning and driving new pieces of value-add work (of limited complexity) when required
RAID Log maintenance and analysis for project Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies
Project Plan maintenance and analysis
Document control and preparation
Creating and/or coordinating the creation of high-quality governance meeting materials
Meeting scheduling and management, including capturing actions and decisions, and producing high quality minutes
Action follow-up (including working with 3rd parties)
Management Reporting, including the production and quality assurance of status reports
Monitoring and analysis of key communication received into the central PMO mailbox
Ad-Hoc analysis as required (i.e. Trend Analysis, Gap Analysis, Quality Analysis)
Assisting in Project Audits from key control/2nd line of defence/ 3rd line of defence stakeholders
About You
-------------
At least 5 years hands-on PMO / Project Support experience
Proven experience supporting major programs, preferably requiring interaction with regulators, either from a policy or supervisory perspective
Proficient with project tools including but not limited to MS Project, and Enterprise PPM tools (e.g. Planview PPMPro, Smartsheet, Jira, Clarity PPM etc.)
PMO certified (e.g. P3O foundation/practitioner) desirable
Project management certified (e.g. Prince2, PMI, APM etc.) desirable
Strong attention to detail is essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential
Ability to own and drive a new piece of work / analysis from start to finish
Ability to lead / influence where necessary (e.g. individual / group setting)
Ability to prioritise multiple/changing priorities to meet deadlines
Strong proficiency using Microsoft: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Being both a highly pro-active and reactive individual
Proven organizational skills
Professional presentation skills, including excellent public speaking capabilities
Previous experience working within a highly regulated industry (ideally Banking)
Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry and FX desirable
