Home Based with occasional London Office based days

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

As a

Portfolio

Accountant

at Rendall & Rittner you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of and the of the accounting records of a portfolio of property heat network accounts. Additionally, as the Senior Portfolio Accountant you will act as a mentor and be day to day contact for the offshore team.


you will:


You have significant experience within an accounting role and a recognised accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, AAT or qualified by experience. Be experienced in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting records of designated portfolios preferably within the property sector. Preparation of year end heat network accounts including re-allocation of costs. Review offshore or junior team members work, along with taking accountability for carrying out project plans. Prepare Income and Expenditure Accounts and Balance Sheet. Responsible for audit process. Responsible for compliance to regulations in respect of relevant accounting and heat network legislation. Manage surplus and deficit charges onto lessee accounts. Have awareness of OPSS requirements for Heat Networks. Assist Property Managers in relation to additional financial queries, projects or information as required. Build effective relationships with Billing Agents, suppliers and wider business contacts to ensure pertinent information is shared on a timely basis for tariff reviews, debt collection and accounts preparation. Work closely with the Heat Network Manager responsible for the operational aspects to ensure improvements and knowledge is applied across the portfolio.
