As the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading illustrated non-fiction Publisher we are after a highly creative and effective Senior PR Manager to join our busy UK Brand and Communications department.

Reporting into the Head of the department, this senior management role within the PR team is responsible for planning, implementing and producing sales-driving campaigns across all media and other relevant promotional avenues. Working closely with Brand Managers, the Social team and ROW PR teams, you will work predominantly on DK\xe2\x80\x99s narrative non-fiction titles, but will also be involved in DK\xe2\x80\x99s Life, Knowledge, Children\xe2\x80\x99s and Licensing divisions, ensuring all campaigns are globally aligned and integrated. The role will also be involved in new acquisitions, high level author care, stakeholder and budget management responsibilities.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Deputising and supporting the Head of UK Brand and Comms
  • Development of strategic and creative thinking driving consumer-focused publicity campaigns from the point of acquisition through to publication
  • Bringing new audiences and readers to our brand and ensuring the best possible coverage and results
  • High level author care whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with agents and other key stakeholders across the business, and providing timely sell-in information and campaign updates
  • Building DK\xe2\x80\x99s profile in trade press through acquisition announcements, and dealing with internal and external PR enquiries, delegating when appropriate
  • Being a role model within the team, problem solving and providing support and advice where required and encouraging a \xe2\x80\x98can-do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude
You\xe2\x80\x99ll have proven experience of leading high profile campaigns across a range of different book genres and be a confident, natural relationship builder with extensive media relations and knowledge of the media, including digital media, events and festivals.
