We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accounts, corporation tax, personal tax, VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing guidance to junior members of the team. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles and tax regulations whilst being confident in communicating with clients.
Responsibilities
Prepare financial accounts and tax calculations in accordance with applicable standards.
Manage client expectations.
Ensure client working papers are complete and accurate.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Iris Elements.
Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Iris Elements.
Strong understanding of financial services and financial management principles.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting.
Ability to mentor and guide junior staff effectively.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
