Job Description

We are looking for an experienced practice accountant.

The position would suit someone who is part or fully qualified in a recognised accounting body or QBE with at least 3 years' experience working within a practice environment.

Expected hours 39 hours per week but we are open to offering part-time hours too.

The salary is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.

Requirements are as follows:

Essential skills:

Experience of working in an accountancy practice Be able to prepare year end accounts for sole traders and partnerships Be able to prepare limited company accounts to trial balance level Be able to prepare VAT returns Excellent knowledge of excel Experience of using accounting packages such as VT, XERO and Sage Liaising with clients Answering telephone calls and dealing with client queries as required
Advisable skills:

Experience of completing self-assessment tax returns Experience of running payrolls Experience of CIS submissions
