Who we are and what we do

-----------------------------

Little, Brown's identity is personified by our innovative, dynamic and free-thinking people. Across our thirteen imprints, you won't find a wider range of titles anywhere in UK publishing. We pride ourselves on quality and diversity. A repeat recipient of the Publisher of the Year award, we're one of the most successful and dynamic publishers in the UK.

Little, Brown is a division of Hachette, one of the largest publishing groups in the UK, with 10 publishing divisions and over 60 imprints. Everyone here is proud to be in the business of opening doors and minds.

What you'll be doing

------------------------

Four-time winner of the Publisher of the Year award, Little, Brown Book Group is one of the most successful and dynamic publishers in the UK. We publish as wide a range of titles as anyone in the industry, and pride ourselves on the quality, variety and diversity of our publishing output.

On Sphere, we publish some of the world's biggest brand-name novelists and an array of bestselling non-fiction. Piatkus, Constable and Robinson are home to a vast range of fiction and non-fiction titles, with multiple Sunday Times bestsellers, backlist category killers, break-out voices, and perennial classics alike. Our award-winning Publicity department are responsible for promoting bestselling authors; most recently Rebecca Yarros' Onyx Storm, Robert Galbraith's The Hallmarked Man, Anna Huang's The Defender, Joanna Page's Lush, Bjorn Borg's Heartbeats, Ozzy Osbourne's Last Rites and Yusef/Cat Stevens' Cat on the Road to Findout.

This role offers the chance to work across a broad range of genres, including crime and thrillers, romance and romantasy, celebrity-led and high-profile non-fiction. The successful candidate will be responsible for running their own campaigns from acquisition to publication across print, digital, broadcast, podcast, and radio; raising author profiles; planning and delivering author events; presenting PR strategies to key stakeholders both internally and externally; and building strong relationships with authors, agents, the media and trade.

Who we are looking for

--------------------------

We're looking for a publicist with proven professional experience in the publicity industry, including running solo campaigns, and a proven track record of delivering commercially impactful, consumer-focused fiction and non-fiction PR. Organised, confident and imaginative, you'll have good media contacts and be comfortable managing multiple campaigns at once, prioritising effectively and working calmly under pressure. A team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, you'll also bring excellent social media expertise, confidence using Word, Excel, Canva and PowerPoint, and a genuine passion for commercial publishing and media. This is an excellent opportunity for a Press Officer ready to take the next step.
