We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Kirkham, a category D Prison located in Kirkham, Preston.
We are looking for someone to support and coordinate a small team by managing planning, overseeing coordination and supporting junior team members.
The prison has it s own Healthcare department where you will be based and the primary care team consists of a team of 10
HMP Kirkham is a capacity of 700 males. Onsite parking

Hours:
The role is a part time role working 16 hours per week Monday - Sunday, there are various shifts covering: Monday - Friday - No set days so needs to be flexible
Various shifts to cover 8am-7pm
Occasional weekends on rotation as required
Salary:
This position is part time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 42094 - 47466 FTE, depending on experience, this will be pro rota

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their
feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of
Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job.

Registered nurse - Adult
Current professional qualification (NMC)
Evidence of Continued Professional Development
Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
Excellent communication skills

Motivated as an individual and when working in a team
