About the role

As a Senior Process Development Technician, you will support the development and scaling of battery technologies at Dyson's research campus, working closely with material scientists, engineers, and other technical specialists. You will operate, maintain, and test manufacturing and prototyping equipment for next-generation battery cells.


Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain equipment for electrode and cell prototyping. Support process development by hands-on work with manual and semi-automated techniques. Assist in scaling our discoveries from lab to prototype production. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines including safe handling of hazardous materials and use of protective equipment. Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver operational and technical tasks across process development projects. Maintain high standards of precision in all tasks and record technical information diligently. Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety, manufacturing processes and equipment capability. Characterisation and measurement of prototype parts to support process development.

About you:

Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience (battery, electronics, aerospace, assembly, manufacturing or converting industries preferred). Proven practical experience in high-precision environments. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities. Experience handling hazardous materials and contributing to the development of safe systems of work. Demonstrable attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
