We are looking for a Senior Process Development Scientist or Engineer to work in our Cell Therapy process development team. The successful candidate will be leading the process development of our clients and partners' new and novel therapies.

Job Purpose:



As a Senior Scientist in the Process Development department at eXmoor, you will lead and support the design, optimization, and scale-up of allogeneic and autologous cell therapy manufacturing processes for our clients. Working within a CDMO environment, you will focus on developing robust, closed, and GMP-compliant workflows for cell therapy products, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that meet regulatory and commercial requirements. Your expertise will directly contribute to advancing client programs from early development through to clinical and commercial readiness.

Main areas of responsibility/key duties:



You will be the technical lead on studies and collaborate with cross-functional teams (analytical, quality, manufacturing, and project management) to deliver client projects on time and within scope. You will carry out a range of small and pilot-scale unit operations to contribute to the development of GMP manufacturing processes at scale, including isolation, selection, differentiation, transfection/transduction, and expansion of various cell types. You will use literature and scientific knowledge to refine study objectives and protocols. You will draft material lists and support procurement to ensure delivery of the required materials to minimise the risk of any impact on the project timelines You will present data to our clients and manage the technical discussion during project team meetings You will support project management with any scope changes when required You will take responsibility for coaching and mentoring more junior scientists/engineers You will comply with lab documentation including Risk assessments, SOPs, COSHH forms, lab notebooks and records You will represent eXmoor pharma externally to the broader community and will be encouraged to attend conferences and events You will deliver and take part in training as required

Person Specification:



Essential Qualifications & Experience:



PhD in a relevant area or BSC/MSc in life science or engineering) with 3-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience Experience with DoE and statistical analysis. Proficiency with maths and computing, including; MS Office and statistics, DoE, and graphing software

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:



Previous coaching and mentoring experience Experience using, setting up, or developing methods using Flow Cytometry Experience developing or running a range of analytical measurements commonly used when developing cell therapy products, such as Flow Cytometry, qPCR, ELISA, a range of potency assays, cell count, and viability analysis, and measurements of residuals.
