As we continue to grow and innovate, we are expanding our NPD team to strengthen our capability in process excellence. Based in our Egg Innovation Centre, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between kitchen concept and commercial reality. Working closely with the Chef Director, you will lead the technical process development of new products from concept through to launch--ensuring they are scalable, compliant, and optimised for full-scale production.

Established in 1926 and under new ownership since 2016, we have grown into one the largest free-range and organic egg producers within the UK.
Role & Responsibilities:
Lead factory trials and process validations for NPD and EPD (existing product development) projects.
Translate kitchen recipes into factory-friendly formats without compromising on quality or innovation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, technical, and commercial teams to ensure seamless product launches.
Develop and refine manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards.
Act as the technical lead during factory scale-ups, first productions, and pre-launch activities.
Generate and maintain detailed process documentation, including trial reports, specifications, HACCP plans, and risk assessments.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, yield improvement, and process optimisation across the product portfolio.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the NPD and manufacturing teams.
Ensure all new products meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.

Qualifications / Experience:
Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
Proven experience in a process technologist or NPD role within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of factory processes, food safety standards, and scale-up best practices.
Experience working with chilled, ready-to-eat products
Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, and retailer technical standards.
