About the Role:

The Team: This role sits in the S&P Global Commodity Insights Product Management organization within the Market Reporting & Trading Solutions (MRTS) business line. The role works closely with customers and stakeholders and various functional teams to understand requirements and ensures delivery of products that meet customer needs and aligns with business strategy. As a member of the team, you will play an important role in building and maintaining a digital, cross-commodity product offerings across News, Market Data, and Risk portfolios, and ensure business continuity. In this role you will work with different business functions such as technology, content, sales, and marketing to develop and execute the product roadmap to deliver value and solve problems for customers.
The Impact: The solutions for the cross-commodity portfolio include pricing, news, forward curves, and trade data over a variety of digital and machine delivery mechanisms. The Sr. Product Manager plays a critical role in developing the product offerings client-facing solutions around these features and delivering to clients through effective go-to-market and roadmap management, driving revenue growth.

Working within the Product organization provides opportunity to engage with and gain exposure to all areas of the business, liaising daily with global cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities: You are responsible for executing and delivering on product strategies, ultimately driving revenue by meeting the needs of current clients, displacing competitors, penetrating new markets, solving new problems, or selling to new client bases. In addition, this role will work closely with the Cross-Commodity Team Lead and respective content and business stakeholders to support additional strategic priorities and other value-add opportunities to enhance product offerings and client solutions.
Execute and Deliver Product Development Roadmap: Support the execution and delivery of the product development roadmap for the News, Market Data, and Risk product solutions, ensuring on-time delivery to market and supporting product releases by monitoring defects and communicating enhancements.
Drive Structured Data and AI Initiatives: Lead the development and execution of structured data initiatives and support value-add AI initiatives to improve customer workflows.
Prioritize Product Development Backlog: Create, maintain, and prioritize a product development backlog according to customer demand, business value, or ROI.
Collaborate and Communicate with Technology Teams: Attend regular meetings with technology teams to progress projects, drive delivery, report on project status, and facilitate highly collaborative working groups to maximize productivity throughout the development process.
Facilitate Go-to-Market Plans: Develop and implement go-to-market plans for effective product launches and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs.
Engage with Clients and Stakeholders: Collaborate with commercial and client success stakeholders, engage with clients to understand customer needs, workflows, and problems, and develop strong working relationships within the S&P Global business in a highly matrixed environment.
Analyze Feedback and Measure KPIs: Analyze customer feedback and product usage to inform business decisions, prioritize the product roadmap, and measure KPIs.

Basic Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience as a product manager or product owner, preferably at a commodity information or financial technology company.
Proven track record of executing strategic roadmaps and delivering results on time.
Ability to independently manage workload in a global, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong customer mindset with demonstrated ability to engage directly and honestly with customers and deliver positive experience by creating a partnership mentality.
Quick learner with the aptitude to understand commodity markets, customer-facing solutions, and company processes.
Understanding of customer needs, workflows, and problems within commodity markets, with a strong customer and commercial mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing a digital product portfolio and developing software following Agile Scrum practices.
High technical literacy with real-time digital platforms and toolsets.
Knowledge of commodity markets, trade flows, supply chains, and typical workflows at global commodity trading organizations.
Experience working in relevant environments such as commodity trading (front desk), market analysis (decision support), and digital software development and management.
