Key Accountabilities:
  • Accountable for prioritised allocation of resources across shifts and locations.
  • Accountable for ensuring pan Technology Centre production operations are controlled, and adequate resources allocated, in compliance with Safety Case requirements.
  • Accountable for short term tactical planning and coordination of Production Operations, Asset Operations, Logistics, Manufacting Engineering, Quality and ESH.
  • Additional accountabilities for this job profile may be defined and appointed through the Chief Engineer Management Arrangements, with appointees listed within the Company Design Authorities and Technical Authorities, as held in the company management system.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for daily resource allocation across the Technology centre (all locations and shifts) to ensure adequate SQEP and programme delivery. This includes daily engagement with other functions to ensure appropriate overall prioritisation in line with programme delivery requirements.
  • Provide direction to ensure that Visual Management and the Operational Status boards are routinely updated, KPIs are focussed on the key issues and issues/successes are escalated through the board tiers.
  • Management of forums to agree and manage integrated delivery focused plans with relevant parties to meet demand.
  • Ensure that robust arrangements are in place to identify and mitigate risks to the programme.
  • Ensure that the operational capabilities required to meet current and future demand are defined against emerging programme requirements.
  • Deputise for Group Leader Production Operations, and stand in for Production Delivery Managers as necessary.
  • Leadership of a diverse and multidisciplinary team to deliver all task outputs included in the single order book to schedule.
  • Responsible for compliance with Company procedures and governance requirements.
  • Promote and sponsor operational excellence and drive all actions aimed at continuous process improvement.
  • Adopt a \xe2\x80\x98See It, Own It, Solve It\xe2\x80\x99 mind-set, by identifying obstacles to success and taking ownership to find solutions to those problems.
  • Provide constant feedback to planners to ensure agility and flexibility of operations plans in response to operational interruptions.
  • Ensure consistent management of performance, development, reward, career progression and succession planning across their area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for undertaking other duties as reasonably required from time to time by line and task management, including work at other places within the UK or overseas; this will be done in consultation with you, and in accordance with any requirements-
  • The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties as aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs; this may include additional roles as set out below (these are subject to your area of work, and where formally agreed by the individual): e.g. First Aider; Ballistic First Aider; RA First Aider; Zone Control Officer; Assistant Zone Control Officer; Facility Liaison Officer / Facility Emergency Controller; Emergency Manager.
