We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for Senior Delivery Manager to join our Transportation team based in Easton Lane Depot, Winchester. Under the direction and leadership of the Regional Construction Manager (RCM) you will be the lead member of the area schemes team and will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of all scheme works in on the Area 3 Maintenance and Response Contract with National Highways. Responsibilities

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be working with the RCM, Programme Manager and client leads to assist in building and delivering robust and sustainable forward programmes to meet client needs whilst accounting for Kier and sub-contract resources.

Your day to day will include:

  • \xc2\xb7 management of the area scheme delivery team ensuring members have adequate training, time and resource to effectively undertake their roles
  • \xc2\xb7 ensure that all works are delivered in compliance with all Kier health and safety policies, and standards and that everybody goes home safely
  • \xc2\xb7 manage the Health and Safety aspects of the works including the responsibilities of Principal Contractor when required and manage the production of the Health and Safety Plan (Construction Phase) and Health and Safety File
  • \xc2\xb7 build strong client relationships, providing excellent communication of current and future works
  • \xc2\xb7 assist in the allocation of work across the team to ensure a fair and balanced workload which affords people the time they need to successfully deliver their works, personally delivering a quota of programmed schemes
What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Delivery Manager is great for you if have:
  • \xc2\xb7 industry qualification or the equivalent in experience
  • \xc2\xb7 extensive knowledge of highways maintenance and evidential experience of developing and managing high performing teams
  • \xc2\xb7 excellent understanding of CDM and health, safety and environmental legislation and responsibilities within the sector
  • \xc2\xb7 a solid understanding of resource and programme management
  • \xc2\xb7 proven leadership skills and experience of successfully managing people to reach for their potential
