Senior Professional Tutor in Secondary Education (Physical Education)

The School of Teacher Education at Liverpool Hope is expanding, responding, and anticipating changes in the sector. Building upon our success, evidenced most recently by exceptional results in the national student satisfaction survey and the Good Universities guide, we are now seeking experienced colleagues to join us to make a major contribution to the development of the Secondary Physical Education provision within the School. The post holder will also contribute to the wider Physical Education provision in the school including SKE and Primary courses.

The role will be of considerable significance moving forward, and we are looking for applicants who have the professional expertise, drive, and commitment to ensure that the curriculum is ambitious, carefully sequenced, and underpinned by our commitment to inclusion and social justice. The person appointed will have a high level of expertise in secondary Physical Education. Additionally, as a highly-skilled professional, substantial recent experience in a professional context such as curriculum development, school leadership, experience across multiple key stages, and or expertise in SEND would be beneficial.

We are looking for professionals who understand the importance of the university-school partnership and will be skilled in strengthening relationships with schools.

The appointment is at Grade 8 on the pay scale.

We are looking for an individual who will bring enthusiasm and a sense of vocation for their chosen subject and profession, and with demonstrable successful experience in an educational context. You will be supported to develop fully as a leading Teacher Educator; this will include training and professional development. Bringing substantial, recent, and relevant professional experience, which may be within an HEI, you will be looking for an opportunity to work with others to ensure that Hope NQTs and graduates will be effective, reflective, fully informed, and committed curriculum shapers of the future.
