DESCRIPTION
Amazon's Account Compliance Program team is seeking a pragmatic, innovative, and driven individual to drive strategic improvements in our KYC compliance program for EU/UK region. This role will focus on optimizing KYC processes, enhancing customer experience while maintaining robust compliance standards, and implementing strategic initiatives to reduce risks and improve overall efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing customer experience, skilled in process optimization, and able to navigate complex regulatory requirements while delivering practical solutions.
Key job responsibilities
Lead strategic initiatives to optimize KYC processes, ensuring robust compliance with regulatory requirements while developing scalable solutions for future growth
Design and implement customer-centric KYC journeys, focusing on reducing friction points and customer escalations through systematic solutions and process automation
Develop and execute a comprehensive program roadmap, establishing key performance metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis
Identify and eliminate risk areas within existing processes, implementing risk-based controls that balance security requirements with customer experience
Partner with Tech teams to drive process automation and technological improvements, ensuring efficient integration of compliance requirements
Conduct root cause analysis of issues and customer escalations, developing and implementing sustainable solutions while maintaining compliance standards
Proactively identify compliance issues and pain points, owning the development and execution of remediation plans and process improvements
Build and maintain strong partnerships across business, operations, and technology teams to drive alignment on compliance priorities and program execution
Use subject matter expertise to assess complex business challenges and provide risk-based solutions while promoting a culture of compliance across the organization
Perform competitive bench-marking and research industry best practices to ensure Amazon's compliance programs exceed industry standards
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
6+ years of experience in KYC/AML compliance
Proven track record of implementing process improvements in regulatory environments
Demonstrated ability to drive results in ambiguous and fast paced environments
Proven capability to work independently and continually calibrate priorities with minimal supervision
Experience working with international teams across multiple time-zones
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification in compliance related area, such as ACAMS
Familiarity with APAC regulations
Direct experience with AML compliance programs, including Know Your Customer and Suspicious Activity Monitoring
