Senior Programmes Coordinator

to join our team based in

Cheadle, Greater Manchester.

You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of

36,550 - 43,000 per annum depending on experience.

As

Senior Programmes Coordinator

, the successful candidate will play an integral role in providing oversight of and support to allocated country offices in all operational and financial matters as well as lead on the portfolio management of Human Appeals programmatic activities with field offices and local partners across the region. Lead on the designing, implementation and reporting of effective programmes, according to country and regional strategies. To contribute to strategy development and provide support in aligning and shaping organisational and strategic decisions and goals.

Key duties and responsibilities of the

Senior Programmes Coordinator:

Provide oversight and support to Field Offices, Work in line with Human Appeals Programmes Strategies, to help achieve the organisations Strategic Key Priorities, Provide quality assurance in the field and HQ in coordination with QA unit, Review and develop high quality proposals for allocated countries, Oversee project implementation, delivery and effective learning, Raise country and regional portfolio.

What were looking for in our

Senior Programmes Coordinator

:

A Bachelor degree in social science/international development or any related field or Relevant Masters degree preferred. Minimum 4 years of experience working in Programme Coordination at an INGO with ideally at least 1 years experience at Global Coordinator or Manager level Experience working with, and delivering on bids from high-profile institutional funding bodies including UN, DfiD, GIZ, USAid Demonstrable experience of delivering long-term projects and Field office strategies Demonstrable experience managing Field Office response during a disaster Experience of managing at least 5 large-scale projects at any one time Must be fluent in English and at least 1 additional fluent language pertaining to HA Field Office countries (i.e. Arabic, Bengali, French, Pashto, Urdu, Swahili) Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector. Our Greatest Achievements Include:

Safeguarding bright futures for more than 22,000 vulnerable orphans in 9 countries. Our one-to-one sponsorship programme has a built-in school attendance requirement while covering the cost of food, housing, medical care, and learning materials. Pioneering technologically innovative infrastructure projects in Pakistan, like designing and building a 25-km embankment on the Chenab River in Pakistan. Protecting an entire community from being washed away, the embankment has held back the floods each year, including Pakistans worst flooding in a decade during its last monsoon season. Protecting the health of mothers and their children in war-torn Syria by running the only free maternity hospital in Idlib, Syria. By offering free medical care to vulnerable mothers and children, our staff at Al Imaan Hospital providing life-saving care to 100,000 patients every year. Quenching the thirst for the 2 million residents of the Gaza Strip by working with UNOCHA to purify Gazas water network. And now, our newest project involves building a large-scale desalination plant to provide daily access to clean water for 60,000 people across Gaza. Recovering lost livelihoods for vulnerable farmers in Gaza by planting 80,000 olive trees since 1991. The farming project provides each farmer with 30-40 prime olive trees so they can establish a vibrant, sustainable crop that yields not just food but income for generations. Restoring safe and secure residential spaces in Syria, like the construction of a new town with 1,000 newly constructed homes in Al Zahoor.
