Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Maintenance to join our Maintenance & Developments team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe.

What you'll do:



Lead, design and manage the delivery of highway related construction and maintenance projects. Provide specialist design, technical and cost advice to internal and external clients to support delivery. Manage the evaluation and authorisation of externally designed engineering schemes on behalf of clients. Collaborate with Via's Construction and Commercial Division to manage workflow to support achievement of company business plan. To act as Principal Designer on low complexity highway and civil engineering projects, to comply with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations. Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and a wide range of stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members.

What we're seeking:



Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in a highway and/or civil engineering design environment. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or Engineering Technician and Member of a Professional Institution (relevant discipline) or working towards with a development plan to gain chartership or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience demonstrated by CDP record?. Strong ICT skills including competence in specialist computer applications used to support engineering design activities. Extensive working knowledge of current highway and civil engineering design standards, contracts, and procedures and knowledge of health and safety, technical, traffic management and other legislation. Experience of all stages of project implementation from feasibility to construction on site?.
