Automation Project Manager

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to join our clients innovative and fast-paced team. In this role, you will manage automation projects from enquiry to final handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as a key contact for clients, manage multidisciplinary teams, and oversee technical aspects to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, manage budgets, and oversee the entire project lifecycle from design through to commissioning.

Client Engagement:

Serve as the main liaison with clients, communicate progress, and ensure satisfaction.

Technical Oversight:

Ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards, addressing challenges during design and implementation phases.

Supplier & Resource Management:

Manage suppliers and resources effectively to meet project timelines.

Team Leadership:

Lead diverse teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards, conducting post-project reviews for improvements.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering (or similar).

Proven experience in project management in automation, manufacturing, or engineering.

Knowledge of automation systems, industrial processes, and related regulations.

Strong organisational, time-management, and communication skills.

Desirable:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience in automotive, intralogistics, or retail distribution sectors.

Familiarity with CAD software and multilingual capabilities.
