The project: As our Health and Life Sciences team continues to grow across the Yorkshire region, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of capital projects within hospital and healthcare environments. This is a key role within our expanding Northern presence, offering the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare infrastructure in a dynamic and competitive sector.

  • Managing the delivery of healthcare construction projects from inception through design development, planning, procurement, and construction, aligned with overall programme and milestone targets.
  • Acting as the primary client interface, delivering an industry-leading level of service and maintaining strong, trusted relationships.
  • Providing subject matter expertise across multidisciplinary teams and business units to support strategic project outcomes.
  • Managing design and consultant teams, overseeing scope, fees, claims, deliverables, and variations to ensure seamless coordination and delivery.
  • Developing and integrating design and authority programmes with procurement and construction schedules to optimise delivery.
  • Managing project teams and stakeholders to achieve strategic KPIs across time, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Promoting and upholding high standards of health, safety, and wellbeing throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing and maintaining project plans and updates, ensuring relevance and accuracy across the lifecycle.
  • Identifying and managing project risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies, ensuring successful delivery against programme and budget.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure quality systems are monitored and maintained in line with service excellence.
  • Managing and document project meetings, providing stakeholders with contextual analysis and regular site walk insights.
  • Actively manage risk and mitigation treatments in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and delivering all approved handover documentation prior to practical completion.
  • Promoting responsible business practices across construction, production, digital, and data initiatives.
  • Contributing to the organisation's net zero carbon transition by identifying and managing carbon emissions and reduction opportunities throughout project delivery.

You'll need to have:
  • Experience in delivering healthcare projects and/or programmes, ideally with experience of both NEC contract and JCT forms of contract.
You'll also have:
  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the public sector.
  • Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
