Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: London
Contract: Initially until 31st March 2026, (Ongoing)
About the Role:
Our client, a leading player in the banking sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead their Transaction Banking EMEA programme. This is a pivotal role where you will manage complex, multi-workstream projects that drive significant revenue growth and enhance operational efficiency across the organisation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a Target Operating Model (TOM) that aligns with the organisation's strategic ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the discovery, planning, and execution phases of projects within the Transaction Banking EMEA programme, focusing on payments, liquidity management, account services, and treasury solutions.

• Oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of all artefacts including business cases, regulatory requirements, and budget management, while adhering to the organisation's Project Management Methodology.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, managing up to 10 project workstream leads and engaging with C-suite executives and steering committees to ensure alignment with business goals.

• Maintain robust governance and transparency throughout the project, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

• Identify and escalate risks and issues with appropriate mitigation plans to senior stakeholders to minimise impact on the organisation's operations.

• Foster a collaborative environment, motivating diverse teams to achieve project objectives and realise benefits.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven expertise in designing and implementing TOMs, with a deep understanding of transaction banking products and services, including payment infrastructures (e.g., SWIFT, FileAct) and digital channels (e.g., MultiCash, Isabel, APIs).

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with senior executives and drive cross-functional delivery.

• Familiarity with corporate banking platforms and integrated cash management systems.

• Knowledge and experience in financial services, markets, and banking activities, along with a solid grasp of the surrounding regulatory framework.

• A degree-level education, coupled with an industry-recognised project management qualification such as PMP or APM.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for gaining organisational buy-in and resolving challenges.
