Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Project Manager to join our Head Office located in Sheffield.

We are a leading Principal Contractor, specialising in facade remediation.

Our in-house capabilities include design, remediation & refurbishment, installation of significant facade (inc. brickwork, render, rainscreen, and curtain walling) projects throughout the UK, and as a group, throughout Europe.

Operating presently at a turnover c.60m, with a secured order book for the following 24 months, and with a strategic, sustainable company growth plan in place, we now seek Project Managers to join our existing highly skilled team.

The successful candidates will possess an exceptional level of knowledge of the facade/building envelope industry and have a proven record of continually leading and delivering landmark projects within budget and on time.

Requirements:



At least 10 years' of construction experience with at least 5 years' experience working as a Project Manager. Extensive experience working on major projects (value ranging from 5 million to 25 million plus) with a proven continual history of delivering projects on time and within budget. A comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of a range of differing facade types Ability to plan your own schedules and liaise directly with the end client and their teams. Ability to operate AutoCAD and Revit software to a reasonable standard. Have previous experience working alongside or within a design office and have a full understanding of the fabrication processes. Detailed understanding of Regulatory Framework surrounding facade works to Relevant Buildings. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Hold SMSTS card

Main Duties & Responsibilities:



Take overall responsibility for the successful execution of the Project. Maintain high levels of health & safety throughout the project. Take full responsibility for the site financial budget Have a solid understanding of Contract practice (JCT, NEC etc.) and how it should be monitored and administered. Ability to answer technical questions for multiple facade types and strategically find, develop & implement solutions. You need to be able to ensure that the Project team fully understands the design and specification requirements of the Project as well as full compliance is maintained from site commencement through to handover. Continually manage the construction programme, work schedules and report site progress to the Board of Directors at regular intervals. Ensure that QA procedures are implemented and maintained for the duration of the Project. Liaise directly with the design team to discuss potential issues, and with procurement teams to ensure orders are placed and delivered to site in accordance with the project programme to maintain undisrupted progress on site. Notification of delays, including cause and effect analysis. Assist in the preparation of RAMS, temporary works packages and site reports. Daily work plan briefings. Attend and chair regular meetings on and off site, often face to face with the Client.
