Job Description

Eurotunnel is seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and represent the organisation in the delivery of a major track and civil engineering regeneration project within the Eurotunnel Concession, spanning from Folkestone to Calais. Operating at the interface with the contracted Project Management Organisation, the Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

This role sits within the Infrastructure Division and reports directly to the Infrastructure Director. The division encompasses all engineering disciplines and benefits from the support of a dedicated Project Management Team, the Technical Authority, Professional Heads of Discipline, and cross-functional committees such as the Vehicle Track Interface Group.

The position requires regular presence at both Folkestone and Calais terminals, with flexibility for occasional travel and remote working. Success in this role depends on strong collaboration, rigorous budget and schedule management, adherence to regulatory and technical standards, and effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for reporting project progress at Executive Committee level and ensuring full alignment with Eurotunnel's business model and strategic objectives.

Lead the delivery of a major infrastructure project within the Eurotunnel Concession, ensuring full compliance with the Quality, Cost, and Deadline (QCD) framework and the V-cycle project methodology as defined in the Getlink Way. Represent Eurotunnel at the interface with the contracted Project Management Organisation, ensuring alignment of objectives, clear communication, and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Engage with all internal and external stakeholders to secure alignment, support, and timely input, fostering a collaborative and solution-focused project environment. Make informed and timely decisions to maintain project momentum, safeguard critical milestones, and uphold overall project objectives. Exercise strict control over the project budget, proactively manage risks, and identify opportunities for efficiency and productivity improvements. Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Executive Committee level and relevant national authorities, ensuring full traceability and transparency of project progress. Maintain ownership and oversight of all technical and project-related documentation, ensuring decisions, action plans, and changes are recorded and accessible. Act as Eurotunnel's primary point of contact for all matters related to the project, providing authoritative guidance, updates, and responses as required.

Qualifications and Experience

A degree in Engineering or a related technical field, ideally complemented by further studies in management or leadership. Professional certifications in project management (such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are considered an advantage. Demonstrated experience in leading complex, large-scale infrastructure projects, with particular value placed on experience in railway or similarly regulated environments. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations, meet tight deadlines, and deliver results in operationally constrained environments. Proficiency in project management tools and software, with a solid understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle processes. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French is highly desirable to support effective cross-border collaboration.
