Candidate Specification

Required for the position of Senior Public Health Engineer:

  • Have experience at a senior level of public health engineering, preferably within a consultancy business.
  • Be degree-qualified in Building Services Engineering or similar
  • Belong to a representative industry professional body, i.e.,CIBSE (SoPHE) CIPHE
  • Professional qualifications CEng or similar
  • Working knowledge of current legislation, UK design codes, codes of practice, sewers for adoption, public health engineering guides
  • Preferably have excellent knowledge of the following software: NBS Chorus, Revizto, Cyspace, Hevacomp, Revit, StabiCAD.
  • Have experience of working on large building projects (\xc2\xa35M+)

  • Public Health Engineer: design, specification and drawings. Plant selection, system sizing and ability to coordinate with other disciplines.

As Senior Public Health Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Working across disciplines and divisions within the business
  • Liaising with Clients and Project Managers
  • Capturing the brief
  • Developing Concept to Detailed design stages.
  • Writing specifications and reports
  • Attending site review activities
  • Taking part in commissioning and handover processes
  • Adhering to the MM digital operational procedures
  • Driving technical excellence
  • Sharing with and educating others (mentoring and coaching)
Working within the follwing sectors:

  • Ministry of Justice
  • Defence infrastructure organisation
