BBF Ltd is one of the UK's leading ambient cake manufacturers of retailer own label, licensed and branded cakes, supplying recognisable retailers across the UK and European market. We are passionate about our products and aim to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. We are currently looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Auditor to join our team in Hull.

Purpose of the Role:



Supervise a QA Team to ensure that all raw materials, packaging, and finished products are safe and conform to all relevant specifications, legislation, and customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities



Drive the quality culture and GMP standards within the Zone.

Training the QA Team to ensure current and new processes are adhered to.

Ensure audits and traceability exercises are completed to schedule.

Complete sample collections for nutritional, microbiological, customer and internal panels.

Support investigation into customer complaints or any non-conformances raised internally or externally.

Support the QA and Production teams in addressing quality and foreign body incidents ensuring escalation to the QA / Technical Manager as necessary.

Provide key support for manufacturing activities - trials; pre-production; product launches.

Deliver Projects as set by the Technical and QA Manager.

Undertake QA tasks as required (e.g. G&P, GMP, calibrations, environmental sampling, laboratory portal submissions etc.)

Support the Technical Manager when requested.

Deputise as required for the QA Manager

Build and improve relationships with Production, Engineering, NPD departments to improve communication and understanding of technical standards

Ensure the QA Team conforms to SHE legislation and standards.

Performance Measures



Internal and external audit scores / trends.

GMP audits / action close out rates.

Knowledge and implementation of best practice across the Zone / factory.

Adherence to audit, sampling and traceability schedules.

Provision of samples as required.

Quality of data provided for Root Cause Analysis.

Timely actions / communication.

Complaint reduction.

Audit trends.

Provision of pre-production and product launch documentation as required.

Project completion.

QA tasks completed, on time, in full.

Completion of support.

Completion of deputisation.

Knowledge and implementation of best practice across Production, Engineering, and NPD departments.

QA Team accident rate reduction.

Near miss / hazard reporting and close out.

Additional Knowledge and skills



Ability to work to deadlines in a demanding environment.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications.

FS Level 2, HACCP Level 2 (with aspirations for Level 3).

Experience of microbiological and product sampling.

Knowledge of calibration procedures and techniques.

Experience of Auditing.

Working knowledge and experience of Root Cause Analysis.

Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment in a technical capacity.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.72 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
