The Role
American Express' Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers a wide range of card and payment programs, expense management tools, consulting services, business financing, and cross-border payments solutions. This role sits within the Buyer Initiated Payments (BIP) team in GCS, one of the fastest-growing segments of the business.
You will partner closely with product owners in collaborative scrum teams to modernize the tech stack and ensure the quality of B2B and international payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Design, implement, and execute end-to-end testing strategies covering functional, integration, performance, and regression testing.
Set quality assurance direction for the department.
Lead test automation efforts using tools like Selenium, Karate, TestNG, WebDriver IO, Playwright, Cucumber, etc.
Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated test integration.
Monitor and analyze test results and provide dashboards and reports to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with quality, security, and performance standards.
Mentor junior quality engineers and foster a quality-first culture.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years in quality engineering and test automation.
Proficiency with automation tools like Postman, JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, Karate, TestNG, and Rest Assured.
Programming skills in Kotlin, Java, or JavaScript.
Strong experience in all types of testing: functional, integration, UI, API, regression, browser compatibility.
Experience with BDD is a plus.
SQL and NoSQL database knowledge (Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB).
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Agile development experience.
Strong communication and mentoring skills.
Payments domain knowledge is a plus.
