Senior Quality Engineer

to lead quality assurance activities across our UK and US operations.

This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining best-in-class quality systems and practices.

The role involves frequent travel between UK and US sites to support alignment, continuous improvement, and knowledge transfer.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering within manufacturing environments, excellent knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or similar), and a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams in global settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, standardize, and implement quality control procedures across multiple manufacturing sites in the UK and USA.

Lead cross-site initiatives to improve product quality, process capability, and customer satisfaction.

Support regular audits and site visits to assess compliance, identify risks, and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Collaborate with operations, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure product and process quality throughout the lifecycle

Drive root cause analysis and structured problem solving (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5 Why).

Support the deployment of statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and other quality tools.

Serve as a subject matter expert for quality systems and regulatory standards

Provide coaching, mentoring, and training on quality tools and best practices.

Report quality performance and trends to senior leadership, with actionable recommendations

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a quality engineering role (preferably in regulated environments such as aerospace, medical device, or automotive).

Experience working across multi-site international teams is highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to quality systems, audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Professional certifications, such as Six Sigma or Lean are highly desirable

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 or other applicable standards.

Proficient in quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, PPAP, APQP.

Familiar with statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to build relationships across cultural and geographic boundaries.

Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Highly organized with strong project management skills.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness and ability to travel regularly between UK and US locations (approx. 25-40% travel expected).

Must hold a valid passport and be eligible to travel internationally

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 50,000.00-60,000.00 per year
