What are we looking for
We are looking for a proactive and highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our high-value, medium-volume manufacturing operation. This role focuses heavily on advanced problem-solving, root cause analysis, and driving
continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring and developing junior quality engineers, helping to build a strong quality team capable of sustaining excellence in product performance and
compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to establish and embed a culture of quality across all levels of the business.
Responsibilities
Lead complex root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, DMAIC).
Develop, refine, and implement quality plans, inspection procedures, and control methods to support medium-volume production runs of high-value products.
Oversee product quality during manufacturing, ensuring compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
Act as a key resource for troubleshooting and resolving quality issues both on the production floor and in the field.
Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects, improving yields, and enhancing process capability.
Mentor, coach, and train junior quality engineers and inspectors to enhance their technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Conduct regular quality audits, lead supplier quality management efforts, and manage customer quality concerns and audits.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of quality records, reports, and data analysis to support traceability and compliance.
Communicate quality performance and improvement plans effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
About You
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's degree or HNC in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
5+ years of quality engineering experience in a high-value, medium-volume manufacturing environment.
Proven expertise in structured problem-solving techniques and quality improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, 8D).
Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers or quality technicians.
Strong knowledge of quality standards and systems such as ISO 9001.
Proficiency with quality tools and software: FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, statistical analysis (Minitab or similar).
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
