Job Summary





The Quality Technician is responsible for processing audits, conducting FAI's/FII's, writing documentation and coordinating activities to ensure that the quality of final-parts, products and sub-assemblies is up to the highest standards.
Key Role & Responsibilities
Manage quality projects to meet specific requirements and satisfy customers. Participate in various improvement plans. Participate in problem solving Kaizen activities. Be able to investigate and identify possible risks. Drives business process improvements to ensure high quality of products. Support projects by facilitating adequate communication with all stakeholders. Assist manufacturing with analysis and problem solving as required. Conduct analysis to produce indicators, statistics and presentations. Assist with ongoing training of quality technicians. Work to promote quality culture throughout the Company. Manage priorities in line with objectives and ensure the team is aligned with these. Ensure compliance with all UK HSE legislation and HSE Company policy. Coordinate team's activities proactively following the direction of Line Manager. Participate in solving supplier related faults identified during final inspections with client or internal. Interact with the client accordingly. Be fully familiar and conversant with department and Company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are always fully compliant. Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager. Ensure all work carried out is compliant with organisational quality management systems/policies and procedures. Ensure accurate records are completed and maintained in accordance with procedures in place, and work in progress is communicated to Line Managers and team members. Qualification in a Technical or Quality discipline. Essential IPC WHMA620 Requirements and acceptance for cable and wire harness assemblies- Desirable ISO 9001 Auditor qualification - Desirable CSWIP 3.1 Visual weld inspector (or equivalent). Desirable ILM or equivalent qualification in management and leadership. Desirable 6 sigma green belt - Desirable Train the trainer - Desirable Competencies
