Job Description

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering - ideally with piling experience - to join our commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone who's commercially driven, technically competent, and confident working on complex, fast-paced projects from tender through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all commercial aspects of piling and civils projects Prepare, submit, and negotiate valuations and variations Support tendering and procurement processes Cost planning, forecasting, and risk management Work closely with operational teams to ensure project profitability Subcontractor management and payment certification Prepare and present accurate commercial reports
Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally in civils/piling Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as needed
