. This is a hands-on commercial role where you'll take ownership of the
cost, contract and procurement
aspects across multiple live projects, working closely with delivery teams, clients and the supply chain.
You'll also play a key part in developing commercial processes and supporting junior team members as projects progress.
Key responsibilities
Lead commercial management across several concurrent projects, from pre-contract through to final account
Produce and manage budgets, cost plans, forecasts and monthly reporting
Administer contracts and manage change control, ensuring risks and opportunities are captured early
Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and support project cashflow management
Manage subcontract procurement: tendering, bid analysis, negotiation and award recommendations
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers
Provide guidance/mentoring to junior QS staff and contribute to continuous improvement
What we're looking for
Strong experience in a QS/Senior QS position within
civil engineering / infrastructure
(marine/coastal/offshore experience is a plus)
Confident in
contract administration
, commercial negotiation and financial forecasting
Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management / Civil Engineering (or similar)
Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS/CICES) is beneficial but not essential
Clear communicator with good commercial judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities
