Our company



Highall Developments is a rapidly growing privately owned development company specialising predominantly in residential development. We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to further strengthen our Commercial Department.

The company operates across the Northwest and prides itself on delivering a quality product for its diverse portfolio of clients. We have live and pipeline projects consisting of a variety of contract/affordable and market housing schemes ranging in value from 2m - 15m.

We are looking for an ambitious, driven and passionate individual to work as part of our team working on current and prospective projects. You will be expected to promote and act in accordance with company values, systems, policies and procedures to provide a quality service for their clients. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate initiative and accumulate responsibility over time across a diverse range of commercial duties while progressing within a growing business.

The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop their career with the aim of progressing to Commercial Manager.

Duties include but are not limited to:



Production of viability/feasibility studies and information to support decision-making in site acquisition and new project tenders. Procurement and commercial management of sub-contract works. Preparing tender packages, tender submission analysis and awarding of contracts, valuations/application for payments, variations and final accounts Procurement, programming and commercial management of material and product supply chains. Costing and preparation of budgets for each aspect of new projects and analysis/control throughout the development process. Cost and value reconciliation Liaising with site personnel and subcontractors as required Assessment of Health and Safety Contractor Competency Attend and influence pre-construction and site meetings Knowledge of JCT design and build projects is essential Valuation for contract works, variations, Cash flow, Final accounts

Musts:

IT Literate (Use of Microsoft office necessary), CSCS Card, Education (Commercial HNC/D, Degree or similar), UK Driving License, excellent communication and problem solving skills, Be able to work with people at all levels and from all backgrounds, Be able to prioritise and multi-task and demonstrate financial and commercial acumen

5 years' experience within the Residential sector preferred however, the company is flexible and candidates will be assessed for their specific duties/responsibilities.

Salary/package



Negotiable based on experience and ambition

Car allowance - level based on experience

Holiday entitlement of 25 days (plus bank holidays)
