We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and financial planning for construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects from initial design through to completion.
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying potential overruns early.
Conduct regular cost analysis and report on financial performance to project managers and stakeholders.
Manage procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships.
Oversee contractual changes and variations, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate cost control measures are implemented.
Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to each project.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal and safety regulations throughout all financial activities.
Experience
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of cost control techniques, budgeting, and financial management in construction projects.
Familiarity with industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent programmes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills for effective liaison with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics is highly desirable.
