Due to continued growth, we are seeking aSenior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for key projects within our main construction division.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial management of live projects from pre-contract handover through to final account, ensuring robust financial control, strong cashflow, and protection of the Company's contractual position.

Key responsibilities include:

Full commercial ownership of assigned construction projects Preparation and ongoing management of turnover, profit, preliminaries, plant, and cashflow forecasts Leading interim valuations, variations, and final account negotiations with clients and consultants Securing full recovery of contractual and statutory entitlements Providing accurate monthly cost/value reconciliations and management reporting Commercial procurement and management of subcontractors, including valuations, variations, and final accounts Advising project teams on contractual, financial, and commercial matters Attending and leading commercial discussions at site and client meetings Supporting claims and dispute resolution where required Mentoring and overseeing junior commercial staff as appropriate

About You

Substantial experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment or similar Relevant industry qualification (Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent) Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practice Proven ability to manage multiple projects and complex commercial issues Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build strong stakeholder relationships Highly organised, commercially astute, and detail focused Full UK driving licence (essential)
